Case Study – Stone Cleaning St. Johns Hospital

St John Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London
Client Details – St John Queen Elizabeth Hospital
The Challenge

To carry out soda blasting in order to remove years of atmospheric pollution to the stone work and masonry surfaces of the hospital entrance.

APT’s Solution

We discussed the job at length with the client manager who had been asked to find a company who could carry out an area of stone cleaning to one elevation of the hospital.

The soda blasting was carried out at in conjunction with the st john’s hospital manger. We used both dry and wet soda blast systems where required, to minimise costs and suppress any dust as it was a very busy hospital with very little space between the public and the work area.

We also cleaned both the stonework and the brick masonry.

What our client said

“Thank you for the works carried out at St Johns. The property outlook is very much improved and we will be in touch to arrange to have further works when we receive future funding. Many thanks”.
