APT’s Solution
Why use precision soda blast cleaning to clean and restore stone ?

To use soda blast method cleaning using a Vortex II Nozzle N03 at low pressure, 3-4 bar, to remove natural skin covering and dark ingrained pollution.

To enhance visual appearance, refit new stonework to match existing stonework, break out and splice in new oak pieces to window frames and surround.

We carried out a survey with the Overbury project manager. At short, we made several recommendations to save costs on the refurbishment as described, as well as the sourcing of local suppliers for materials.

It was a busy centre of town location, so we had to liaise with the site manager on the best site management in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians  and other contractors.

We carried out our duties outside of opening hours, starting with the outside facade soda blast cleaning, after carrying out trials to agree on the finish standard with the client.

We arranged the internal works to corresponded with the delivery of the specialist materials, the client’s very short works programme, and the removal and installation of the secured night safe.
